Nothing looked wrong. Then we measured 195 children.
Eighteen were undernourished. Four severely. None of them had presented as ill that morning.

We work through the school, with clearance from the local education authority, and we split the day. A whole-school assembly for the message everyone needs. Then smaller sessions by age and by sex, for the things that are easier to say in a smaller room.
Alongside the teaching: height, weight, mid-upper arm circumference for the under-fives, and deworming given under direct observation. Teachers are screened too.
